Through colour render is also
named "monocouche" render, which means "one coat". It is a polymer based render that has no need for a base coat (unless required),
this giving a great advantage when against a tight schedule and also other competitors using sand and cement renders.
The through colour render system has several different finishes, textures and a vast colour range to choose from, giving
your property a personalised and unique finish.
- Scraped Finish : This is the most common
finish that is used. The through colour render is applied in one coat to an overall thickness of 20mm and left to
harden for 2-16 hours depending on the weather conditions. Then whislt the render is still "green" (hardened but not fully
cured) an overall back scrape of 2mm is carried out to create the scraped finish texture. This would usually be a two day
process with other products. But with the use of Poly-Rend a scraped finish can be completed within a minimum of one working
day.
- Roughcast : This is a finish that is used to give an all
over roughcast effect without the use of applying a pebble dash coat. Firstly the through coloured render is applied to a
10mm thickness and levelled out. A splatter coat is then applied to a thickness of 8mm. A third coat is then applied. This
is a watering coat to give the roughcast a protective layer.
- Ashlar Cut Finish : This is similar to the scraped finish.
The through coloured render is applied to an overall thickness of 23mm and scraped back 2mm. Once fully cured, a rotary cutting
machine patened by TMD is used to cut 5mm channels in the render. Allthough different sizes and grooves can be specified.
We believe to have the upper hand on our ashlar work due to our cutting machine. It is revolutionary to other cutting proccesses,
which can leave jagged edges and an untidy finish. Whereas our machine is crisp, precise and not to mention fast. Also when
used in conjunction with TMD's own product Poly-Rend, spraying, scrape and cuts can all be acheived in one working day. Whereas
other products and processes can take at least two to three days before cutting can be acheived. This giving us a great standard
for meeting and beating target deadlines, and also leaving fellow competitors trailing behind.
TMD's colour scheme consists of 12 standard colurs, but any colour can be achieved.
